Some circles ask a few questions before you join, and apartment circles always ask for your door or flat number. Here's what each is for and how to change your answer later.
Join questions
The circle's admins choose these. When you tap Join or Ask to join, a sheet titled Join and the circle's name opens with their questions. Answers can be:
- a short or long answer you type;
- one choice from a list;
- a tick box, for example to agree to something;
- a number.
Questions marked (optional) can be skipped. The others must be answered before the button works. Each answer can be up to 500 characters.
What happens to your answers depends on the circle:
- In a closed circle, the admins read them before letting you in.
- In an open circle, you're in straight away, and your answers are saved for the admins to see on the member list.
Your door or flat number
Apartment circles count one vote per home, so they need to know which home is yours.
Enter it when you join
The join sheet shows YOUR DOOR OR FLAT NUMBER. If the circle has set up towers or blocks, pick yours first, then type the flat number.Follow the format it shows
Some circles use floor and flat, so 204 means floor 2, flat 4. The field checks as you type and tells you if something doesn't fit.Or add it later
If you joined without one, you'll see Add your door number to vote in polls here inside the circle. Tap it and save.
Until you add your door number, you can read and chat, but you can't answer a poll or book a shared space.
Change your door or add a tag
A tag is a short label under your name in the circle's chats, such as Secretary or Block A. It can be up to 24 characters. Leave it empty for none.
Two people in the same flat share one vote, and either can change the home's answer.
Admins set up the questions under Set up join questions and the door format under Type, location and door numbers.
