Change the type, location and door numbers
Change what kind of circle it is, its area and reach, nearby search, and how towers, blocks and flat numbers are written.

Admins can change what kind of circle it is, where it shows up, and how door numbers are written. All three live on one settings screen.
Open Type & location
In the app, open the circle, tap the gear at the top, then Type & location. On the website, choose Manage circle › Type & place.Change what you need
Pick the kind under WHAT KIND OF CIRCLE, and set the place under LOCATION.Save
Tap Save.
Kind
Choose Apartment, Area, Club, School, Workplace or Other. Changing the kind tells you what will happen before you save:
- Becoming an apartment (residence) circle: members are asked for a door number the next time they open the circle. Nobody is locked out, and a poll that counts one vote per home waits until they give one.
- Leaving residence: door numbers already given are kept, but nothing asks for them, and new polls count one vote per person.
Location and reach
Tap Change next to the location to pick an area, or leave it as All of your city. Reach sets how far around the area people see the circle: 500 m, 1 km, 2 km or the whole City. Show in nearby search lets people within that reach find it under Circles. Invite-only circles never show in nearby search.
A location is also needed if you want to accept only people from the area. See Change who can join.
Door numbers
In the app, open Door numbers from the manage screen. On the website it's the Door numbers section of Type & place.
- HOW IS A DOOR WRITTEN HERE? Type one real door, like T3-101, and tap Use this. Zinola works out the pattern, and you can change anything below.
- HOW THE PLACE IS SPLIT: Towers, Blocks, Buildings, Wings or Not split. Add the names as written on the gate, up to 50.
- FLAT NUMBERS: Any number, or Floor + flat, where 204 means floor 2, flat 4. Set the floors and flats per floor, and tick ground-floor flats if you have them.
- WHO SEES DOOR NUMBERS: All members or Admins only.
Members then pick their block and type their number, and it's checked as they type. Doors people already gave are kept. If one doesn't fit, they're asked to fix it only when they next edit it.
