If a neighbor gave you an invite code, it looks like K7QX-48PT. Typing it in takes you straight to their circle, even if the circle is hidden from search.
Open Join with a code
In the app, open the Circles tab, tap + and choose Join with a code. You can also tap Enter code under Got an invite code? on Discover. On the website, open Circles and choose Join with a code.Type the code
Enter it in Invite code, with or without the dash. Capital or small letters both work.Tap Join
In an open circle, you're in straight away. If the circle is closed or invite only, your request goes to its admins, and you're told when you're in.
Code or link?
A code and an invite link lead to the same circle. A code is easier to read out at a meeting or write on a notice; a link is easier to share on WhatsApp. You can also paste an invite link into the search box on Discover, which says Search circles or paste an invite. See Join from an invite link or QR code.
If the code doesn't work
You'll see That code didn't work. Check it and try again. Check for these:
- A missing or extra character. A code always has eight letters and numbers. Codes never use 0, O, 1, I or L, so a character that looks like one of those is something else.
- A code from a circle that has since been deleted. An archived circle tells you it isn't taking new members.
If it still doesn't work, ask the person who gave it to you to check it, or to send the invite link instead.
Admins can find their circle's code at the top of Manage circle. See Invite people to your circle.
