What's in the Chats tab
The Chats tab holds personal, market and business chats, with filter chips. Group chats are in Circles. How the website differs.

The Chats tab in the app holds your one-to-one conversations: personal chats with neighbors, chats about marketplace listings, and enquiries you've sent to businesses. Group chats live in Circles.
In the app
Tap CHATS in the bar at the bottom. The chips at the top filter the list:

| All | Every one-to-one chat. |
| People | Personal chats with people you follow and who follow you back. |
| Market | Chats about listings, whether you asked or someone asked about yours. |
| Businesses | Enquiries and quote requests you've sent to businesses. |
| Your business | Only if you run a business: what customers have asked it. |
Each chip shows how many unread chats it has. Use Search chats to find a conversation by name, listing or group. To start a new personal chat, tap the pencil and then Search people. See Direct messages.
At the bottom of the list you'll see “Group chats are in Circles.” Open the Circles tab for your circles and their groups.
Do more with a chat
- Press and hold a personal chat to mute it. See Mute a chat.
- Market chats carry offers, pickup times and payment requests. See Enquire about a listing.
- If you run a business, customer enquiries are leads. See The Leads tab.
Common questions
Where are my circle group chats in the Zinola app?
In the Circles tab. The Chats tab only holds one-to-one chats: people, market and businesses.
What is the Your business chip in Chats?
It shows only if you run a business on Zinola, and lists what customers have asked your business.
Why can't I start a chat with someone?
Personal chats are only for people who follow each other. Follow them, and once they follow you back you can message.
