Edit your name, photo and bio

Your name, photo and bio are what neighbors see on your posts, replies and reviews. You can change them any time, in the app or on the website.

1. Open your profile settings

   In the app, tap your photo › Settings › Account. On the website, open Settings from the menu under your photo.

2. Change your photo

   In the app, tap your photo at the top, then Change photo, Add a photo or Remove photo. On the website, tap Upload a photo under Identity.

3. Edit your name

   Type the name people know you by in Full name.

4. Write a line about you

   In the app it's A LINE ABOUT YOU. On the website it's the About you box.

5. Save

   Tap Save in the app, or Save changes on the website.

Best photo size

Your photo is shown small, with rounded corners, beside everything you post. The app asks you to crop it square; on the website a wide or tall photo is cut to a square from the middle, so keep your face in the centre with a little space above your head. More in Photo sizes that look best.

Name rules

Use your real name, the one your neighbors know. Zinola asks for a full name and won't accept a name that:

• is longer than 80 characters;
• has no letters in it;
• looks like an email address or a phone number;
• uses words we don't allow.

Bio

Your bio can be up to 500 characters. Many people mention their street, how long they've lived there, or what they're good at.

Where the changes show

Your new name and photo show everywhere straight away, including on things you posted before the change.
