What are Zinola's Community Guidelines?
Zinola's one rule, what we expect from neighbors, what is never allowed, and what happens when someone breaks the rules.

Updated
Zinola's Community Guidelines come down to one rule: be the neighbor you would want. Don't post anything you wouldn't say to a neighbor's face, under your own name. The full text is at zinola.in/rules (opens in a new tab).
Where to find them
- In the app: tap your photo › Settings › Legal & account › Community guidelines.
- On the website: the link is in the footer of every page, and on the sign-in and join screens.
What we expect
- Be yourself. One account per person, with real details. Don't pretend to be someone else, or a business you don't run.
- Write what you know. A review is about your own experience. A recommendation is someone you've actually used.
- Be helpful. Criticize the work, not the person.
- Other people's details are theirs. Don't post someone's address, phone number, workplace or photo without asking them first.
- Check before you pay. Zinola never asks you for money, and a deal between members is theirs alone.
What's never allowed
- Sexual content and nudity, and anything that sexualizes a child.
- Slurs and attacks on anyone's caste, religion, race, region, language, disability, gender or sexuality.
- Threats, harassment, stalking, and going after one person again and again.
- Violence, or encouraging violence or self-harm.
- Scams, fraud, impersonation, fake reviews and spam.
- Asking for money while pretending to be Zinola, or demanding an advance payment to “unlock”, “verify” or “approve” anything.
- Anything illegal under Indian law, or copied without permission.
Listings, reviews and circles
- No phone numbers in a listing's title or description. Buyers reach you through the chat.
- One review per person per business. Never give or take anything in return for one.
- The same rules apply inside circles. Circle admins can also remove, block or mute members.
When rules are broken
Content can be hidden automatically or by a moderator, and accounts can be warned or suspended. See Why something you posted is hidden. A new account made to get around a suspension is removed too.
To flag something, report it. The binding version of these rules is in our Terms of Use (opens in a new tab).
