Delete your account

Deleting your account is immediate and permanent. Your profile and what you wrote are removed, and we can't bring them back. If you only want a break, deactivate instead.

1. Open the leaving options

   In the app, tap your photo › Settings › Legal & account, and find LEAVING. On the website, open Settings from the menu under your photo and scroll to the Leaving card.

2. Tap Delete

   In the app it's Delete my account. On the website it's Delete account.

3. Type DELETE

   Type the word DELETE, in capitals, to confirm.

4. Tap Delete for good

   To change your mind, tap Keep my account in the app, or Keep it on the website.

What's deleted

• Your profile and sign-in.
• Your posts, replies, reviews and listings, and their photos.
• Circles you own, with everything in them, and your circle messages.
• Your likes, saves, follows and memberships.
• Your location history and places you've been.
• Your notification settings, reports you made and your sign-in records.

What's kept

We'd rather be honest about this:

• Business enquiries stay with the businesses, with your name and phone number removed. But each business's own copy of an enquiry keeps what you sent.
• Marketplace chats you started on other people's listings.
• Your votes and RSVPs on other people's posts.
• Blocks you made, or that name you.
• Your interest answers and scores.
• Business claims and feedback you sent.
• Security and activity records, until they expire after 365 days.
• Records we must keep by law.
• Documents you sent in chats may remain.
