Recommend a business or person

A recommendation tells your neighbors about a business or person who did good work for you. Tag the business with @ so your post also shows on their page.

1. Start a recommendation

   In the app, tap +, then Recommend someone. On the website, open Ask your street from the menu under your photo and pick Recommend.

2. Tag who you're recommending

   Type @ and start typing their name, then pick them from the list. On the website you can also open the + menu and choose Tag a business.

3. Say why

   “Who did a great job for you?” Mention the real cost and what made them good.

4. Post it

   Tap Post in the app, or Post to your area on the website.

What your neighbors see

Your post carries a Recommend tag and says you recommend a business. The business you tagged appears as a card under it.

Instead of Answer, the post's main button is Agree. When a neighbor taps it, they second the recommendation and the button turns to Agreed. The card then shows how many neighbors also recommend them.

Recommending in reply to someone

When a neighbor asks for help, you don't need a new post. Open their question and use I know someone in the app, or Recommend someone on the website. See Reply to a post.
