- On zinola.in
Updated
Each circle you're in has its own notification setting, just for you. Other members set their own. You can choose how loudly the whole circle reaches you, then adjust single groups.
Open the circle
Go to it from Circles, or from Home.Open Notifications
In the app, tap ⋯ at the top › Notifications, or tap the circle's name and choose Notifications. On the website, tap the Notifications button on the circle's page.Pick a level
Under NOTIFY ME ABOUT, choose one. It saves as you tap.
The three levels
| Level | What you get |
|---|---|
| All messages | Every new message in groups you're in |
| Notices & mentions | Announcements, and when someone tags you |
| Nothing | Badge count only, no alerts |
Per group
Under PER GROUP, each group you're in has its own choice:
- Follows the setting above: uses the circle's level;
- Always notify: every message, even if the circle is set lower;
- Off: no alerts from this group.
This is handy when you want, say, only Announcements and one busy group's alerts.
If you run the circle
Admins also see AS ADMIN, with New join requests and Reported messages. See Alerts for circle admins.
The app-wide switch wins
If Your circles is off in Settings › Notifications, no circle chat will buzz your phone, whatever you choose here. The screen tells you so, and your choices apply when you turn it back on.
