Get alerts for join requests and reports

Turn on or off notifications for new join requests and reported messages in each circle you run, and where requests show up.

  • In the app
  • On zinola.in

Updated

As an admin you can be told when someone asks to join your circle and when a member reports a message. Both alerts are on by default, and you can turn either off for each circle.

  1. Open the circle's notifications

In the app, open the circle, tap the gear at the top, then Notifications. On the website, choose Manage circle › My notifications.
  2. Find AS ADMIN

This section only shows for owners and admins.
  3. Switch alerts on or off

New join requests and Reported messages each have their own switch.

These settings are just for you. Other admins choose their own, so one of you can watch requests while another watches reports.

Other places requests show up

  • In the app, the gear at the top of the circle shows a number when people are waiting, counting both the circle and its private groups.
  • Your Home can show a WAITING FOR YOU card, where you can approve someone in one tap.
  • On the website, Manage circle › Overview lists what Needs you.

A switch for all your circles

In the app, tap your photo › Settings and find Join requests & roles. It covers people asking to join any circle you run, approvals, and changes to your role, across all your circles at once.

Message notifications

The rest of the circle's notification screen, NOTIFY ME ABOUT and PER GROUP, is about chat messages rather than admin work. See Notification levels for a circle.

What to do with the alerts: Approve or decline join requests and Manage members.
