Updated

Inside an enquiry chat, you can do more than type. Cards let a buyer ask to buy, both sides agree on a price, fix a time to meet, and close the deal, so nothing gets lost in the messages.

  1. Open the enquiry chat

Find it in the Chats tab under Market in the app, or in My enquiries on the website.
  2. Tap + beside the message box

This opens More actions with the cards you can send right now.
  3. Pick a card

The buyer starts with a request; the seller answers with a price, a time or a done.

1. The buyer's request

What the buyer sees depends on the listing: Buy at this price for a fixed price, Ask the price for a negotiable or on-request one, Order, Claim the offer, Pick a slot or Ask for it for a free item. It sends a card the seller can answer. The buyer can Withdraw it while it's waiting.

2. Agreeing on a price

  • The seller can Send a price, and mark it Negotiable or fixed.
  • On a fixed price, the buyer can Accept or Decline.
  • On a negotiable price, the buyer can also Counter with their own figure, or Make an offer later from +. The seller can accept, decline or counter back.

The card shows where things stand: Price asked, Negotiating or Agreed.

3. A time to meet

Once you've agreed, send a time with Schedule pickup, Set visit time, Schedule delivery or Arrange collection, depending on the listing. Add When and Where, like “Block T3, gate 2”. The other person taps Confirm, or Change time to ask for another.

4. Done

The seller finishes with Mark sold, Mark delivered, Mark job done or Mark given away. For a single item, this closes the listing and every chat on it. For orders, offers and slots, only this chat closes, and the listing stays up for the next person.

To pay or ask for payment, see Pay or get paid with UPI. For things you borrow, see Borrow and return things.

Common questions

How do I make an offer on a Zinola listing?
On a negotiable listing, open your enquiry chat, tap + and choose Ask the price. When the seller sends a price, tap Counter, or Make an offer from +, and enter your figure.
Can I counter a seller's price?
Yes, if the seller marked the price Negotiable. Tap Counter on their price card and send your figure.
What happens when the seller taps Mark sold?
The listing closes, and so does every chat about it. You can still read the chat, but no new messages can be sent.
