Find local businesses

Zinola has a directory of local businesses, from home bakers and tailors to clinics and showrooms, ranked by what neighbors say about them. Nobody pays to be listed higher.

1. Open the directory

   In the app, tap search at the top of any tab, then tap Businesses. On the website, choose Businesses in the header.

2. Search or pick a trade

   Type a name or trade, such as “electrician” or “Lakshmi's Home Bakes”. On the website you can also pick a trade under Trade.

3. Sort and filter

   Change the order, and on the website narrow it by area, rating or listing type.

4. Open a business

   Tap one to see its page, its stories and how to reach it.

Trade and area pages

On the website, every trade has its own page, such as plumbers in your city, and there are pages for a trade in a particular area. They're handy to bookmark or share.

What the labels mean

• A verified tick means we checked the business and that it belongs to the person running the page.
• Unclaimed means a neighbor added it and nobody has claimed it yet. You can still read and write reviews.
• New means it hasn't had a rating yet.

Can't find a business?

Anyone can add one. Look for Add a business at the bottom of the directory, or see Add a business to Zinola. You can also ask your neighbors who they'd use: see Ask your neighbors a question.
