Updated

Besides the overall star rating, a review can rate six things on their own, and highlight what stood out with a tap. All of these are optional, but they help neighbors see why you gave the stars you did.

  1. Start your review

Give the overall star rating first. It's the only rating that's required.
  2. Open the detailed ratings

In the app, tap Rate details (optional). On the website, the six ratings are part of the form.
  3. Rate what you can

Give each one 1 to 5 stars, or skip any you can't judge. Skipped ones aren't counted.
  4. Tap what stood out

Under What stood out?, tap any chips that fit.

The wording on the form is a little longer, such as Kept you informed in the app or Kept you posted on the website, but it's the same six things everywhere.

What stood out?

These chips are quick praise with one tap:

  • On time
  • Fair price
  • Quality work
  • Polite
  • Clean
  • Would hire again

Pick as many as are true, or none.

Where the ratings show up

On a business page, the detailed ratings from every review are averaged into How they scored (on the website) or What they scored (in the app). Chips and the visit date show on your story itself.

To learn about the labels at the top of a story, see What review badges mean. Business owners can read about these ratings in Review badges and the six ratings.

Common questions

What are the six ratings in a Zinola review?

Do I have to fill in every rating?
No. Only the overall star rating is required. Skip anything you can't judge, and it won't count in the business's averages.
What does What stood out mean on a review?
It's a set of quick chips, such as Fair price or Would hire again, that you can tap to highlight what you liked.
