In a closed circle, people ask to join and an admin lets them in. You can read their answers first, then approve or decline, one at a time or all together.
Open Join requests
In the app, open the circle, tap the gear at the top (it shows a number when people are waiting), then Join requests. You may also see a WAITING FOR YOU card on your Home. On the website, choose Manage circle › Join requests.Read the request
Tap Review to see their answers to your join questions, their door number in a residence circle, how far away they are, and how they came: invited by a member, with the invite code, or with a member's link.Choose how much history they see
Under SHOW OLDER MESSAGES, pick None, Last 24 hours, Last 7 days or Everything. You can also tick Also show pinned messages and open polls & events.Approve or decline
Tap Approve in the app, or Let in on the website. To say no, tap Decline.
Approve everyone at once
Tap Approve all at the top of the list. Before you confirm, choose what history they see under WHEN YOU APPROVE ALL, SHOW THEM OLDER MESSAGES.
The three tabs
The list is split into Waiting, Approved and Declined. Approved and declined requests show which admin decided and when, so your team doesn't decide twice.
What the person is told
People you approve get a notification and can start chatting. People you decline are told, and can ask again later. If you want someone kept out for good, block them from Manage members.
People who join without asking
Someone who joins an open circle, or comes in with an invite link that skips approval, never reaches this list. Choose what they see from before they joined under Who can join › People who join without asking. See Change who can join.
To decide what people are asked when they request, see Set up join questions. To get a notification for each new request, see Alerts for circle admins.
