The “new posts” button

When neighbors post while you're reading Home in the app, a small button appears at the top of the feed, such as 2 new posts. Tap it to load them.

1. Look for the button

   It floats at the top of the Neighborhood feed and says how many new posts there are.

2. Tap it

   The new posts load at the top, and the feed scrolls up to show them.

How it works

• The app checks for new posts every so often while Home is open. With a live connection, it can show them almost straight away.
• Your feed doesn't jump while you're reading. New posts wait until you tap the button.
• If there are 10 or more, the button says 9+ new posts.

You'll see similar buttons in other places, such as new messages in a chat or new listings in the market.

If it never appears

• There may be no new posts near you yet.
• Check your connection. If it's weak, see “Could not reach Zinola”.
• Settings › Notifications shows the Live connection status. If it keeps saying Reconnecting, let us know.

You can always pull down on Home to refresh it yourself.
