Ask an event's host a question

Every event page has a Questions for the host section. Anyone signed in can ask, and the host's answer appears under the question for everyone to read.

1. Open the event

   Scroll down to Questions for the host.

2. Write your question

   Type it in the box, or tap a suggestion such as “Where exactly is the venue?” or “Can I bring a friend?”.

3. Send it

   Your question appears on the page straight away, with your name.

What happens next

• The host gets a notification for every new question.
• When the host answers, you get a notification too.
• Answers from the host carry a Host label, so you can tell them apart.

Questions are public. Anyone who opens the event can read them and the answers, so don't share your phone number or address here.

Answering, if you're the host

Open the question on your event page and tap Answer. Type your reply and send it. If you host as a business, anyone who helps run that business can answer too. Business owners can also answer from the business app: see Answer questions about an event.

Tips for good questions

Ask about the venue, what to bring, parking, whether children can come, or who else is coming. If your question might help others, ask here rather than in a private message, because the next person probably has the same question.

Questions must follow the Community Guidelines. If something here is rude or spam, use Report from the event's menu, or see Report a post, person or message.
