Edit or cancel your event
Change an event's details or call it off. Who gets told, what a canceled event looks like, and why an event can be hidden.

If you hosted an event, you can change its details or call it off from the event's menu. People who said they're coming are told about the changes that matter to them.
Open your event
In the app, go to You › My events › Hosting. On the website, open the event page.Open the menu
Tap ⋯ on the event page.Choose Edit event or Cancel event
Edit event opens the same form you used to post it. Tap Save changes when you're done. Cancel event asks you to confirm first.
Who gets told
- Changing the time, venue or area: everyone who said Going or Maybe gets a notification.
- Changing anything else, such as the description or the cover photo: nobody is notified.
- Canceling: everyone who said Going or Maybe is told it's canceled.
What a canceled event looks like
The event page stays up, marked This event was canceled. That way, anyone who saved the link finds out what happened. Nobody can answer a canceled event, and canceling can't be undone, so if plans change again, post a new event.
If your event is hidden
If your event contains words our filter catches, it's hidden while we check it, and you'll see a note saying so. If moderators remove an event, people who answered are told it's no longer listed. See Why something you posted is hidden.
Hosting as a business
If you hosted as a business, anyone who helps run that business can also edit or cancel it. See Edit or cancel an event in the business help.
